Hello All,
Some of you may have already discovered this, however, I wanted to share with everyone a great product (which I have no affiliation with) for cleaning up heavily soiled vinyl upholstery and tops.
The previous owner of my '98 Maxum had the boat sitting outside for a few months during a very rainy spring with only part of the camper top fitted. The seats and side panels, as well as the white camper top, had quite a bit of mildew and deep grime embedded into the white, burgundy, & tan vinyl. I had purchased some Meguiar's Boat/RV Vinyl Cleaner after hearing good things about it. Well, it did nothing, and I mean nothing, to clean up the vinyl. I might as well have used water.
However, I've been cleaning the all white vinyl in my Donzi for years using Tilex Mold & Mildew Remover and it works wonders, however I was a bit apprehensive about using it on tan & burgundy vinyl due to [its] bleach content. Well it cleaned up the white vinyl camper canvas and it looks brand new. And it also cleaned up all of the deeply soiled white, tan, & burgundy vinyl on the seats and side panels with ease! It was as easy as spray on, let sit for about 1 minute, then it literally just wipes all of the mildew and grime rite off. The bleach content did not discolor the burgundy and tan vinyl whatsoever. And everything smells super clean as well
Anyway, just wanted to share for those who may be having trouble cleaning up their heavily soiled interiors or tops.
Best,
-Mark
