Was hoping to get some advice on a boat located in the Bahamas.
Inherited a 19 ft HydraSports with a 150 HP Evinrude (2001) engine (400 lbs) that has sat for a while during which time someone stole the Hy-Trac hydraulic steering system out of it (cost of $1700 over there).
Am looking to get it running and not invest a ton of money, and have gotten different opionions as to replacing it. Some folks say I have to go with hydraulic due to size wieght of the engine, others say a good nechanical system would be ok.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
