i have a 25ft starcraft fishing boat with a volvo penta outdrive. my hydraulic motor to lift the motor was working fine and then when tried to put the outdrive up nothing happens. there is no noise or anything could it be the solenoid, or something electrical?

Welcome to iboats.

Switch, wiring, relay/solenoid, fuse, pump motor, are all electrical.
Then you have the pump itself.

Well we tested if there was power to the solenoid and and there is power 12v of it. But we press the switch and nothing happens what so ever no clicking of the solenoid or anything

I am assuming you mean the hydraulic system to trim and tilt the outdrive. Going to move this to the Volvo section. We try and keep the General Boating section free of engine/drive topics.

BTW, welcome aboard! :)
