How much is my 1973 22 ft islander worth?

What does anyone think about removing the cabin and instaling a center console? Also, what is prefered on the outboard setup or I/O setup?

The great thing about these boats is you can pretty much build it however you want.<br />I think you would also be happier with an outboard, it's lighter and requires less room over-all.

How much is one of these boats worth? I bought an outboard set up one for $650, of course it needs a new floor and counsel. I have the chance to buy another one with the i/o for $300. What do you think the I/O is worth. All it needs is new steering.

Low retail on the I/O is around a thousand if in good (decent) shape with minumal repairs needed, and that would include an engine in decent running condition as well.

I am right now, installing a console on mine. I removed the cabin, replaced the floor, replaced the sink cabinet and the fuel tank. Should be completed by end of July and I will post pix.
