Re: How many Amp

Kind of a strange question. The charging system can output a maximum number of amps. The number of amps provided depends upon the amps required by the load. The capacity of the charging system should not be much different at 50% versus 100% RPM.

I don't have the specs on that one, but around 4 amps is typical for the unregulated systems, if that is what it has. Also typical is they will do it at about 3000 rpm-up. It curves downward at slow speeds.

What I have in mind is to have about 4 to 6 lights connected to battery for night fishing. Will this overload the motor and burn something out or just run the battery down. Motor would be running most of the time. Sorry if I ask the wrong question. Thanks

What is the amperage draw of the lights you intend to run and what is the capacity of your battery? Since the engine is charging regardless of load on the system you really aren't in danger of overloading the system unless the lights are incorrectly wired up....

Good luck,

Billy

Re: How many Amp

Do I understand correctly I will not burn up or damage any thing on motor by having a lot of lights drawing from battery. I would just draw battery down if more is pulled out than is be generated by motor. Using deep cell battery. Thanks

That is correct. You will not hurt anything.
