Since I removed my deck, trolling motor and all accesories. How much do you think my Aluminum Bass Tracker 17 v would weight with engine removed. ? ? Since I'm doing the transom and rivets, I was just thinking of taking my time and replacing almost all rivets. Any thought on this project? ? Would it be worth it? How many strong guys will I need to call and help ne flip this bad boy over?

Don't know too much about aluminum boats, but my best guess-ti-mate is the bare hull should not weigh more than 300-400 pounds and if you are somewhat ingenious {not like Wiley Coyote, BTW:rolleyes:}...you can rig up some ropes and boards and flip it by yourself, or even easier with one or two assistants...
You don't really need to go through the trouble of replacing rivets that are in good condition, even loose ones can be re-bucked...once you replace all the bad ones and Gluvit the inside, you should be golden...
BTW, you should keep all of your inquiries about your boat in one thread, as it reduces confusion and helps to keep everything in one place when referencing your boat...

Have fun!

Ditto. Not necessary, and removing that many rivets, you are more likely to do additional damage. Do a leak test by filing the boat to the waterline, then replace the bad ones only.

+1 for only those rivets that NEED to be replaced should be

Here, as long as there isn't a line to cross the scales, my local recycle yard will let me drive a trailer across the scale, drop the jack & uncouple it from my truck, at no cost. I've done this multiple times w/ multiple boats/trailers. No problem, once w/ & once w/out boat 30-45 min apart. The difference is just my boat.

My 17 foot crestliner weighs 1150. Its rated for a 115 hp, so minus about 380 lbs puts the hull at 770. Those are per the manufacturer specs. I've done the same thing as JBCurt at the local scrap yard with other things on trailers.

If you get her on the grass, you and another friend can flip her. 400# most likely. Get her up on her side, walk around and let her down. Really not that bad. Fulcrum Principle.

Alright, then I'll fix the leaking rivets only. Any ideas on a home made engine stand?
