How does one install the piston pin into the piston along with the needle bearings and the spacers? I had a machine ship try and they could not figure it out. Thank you for your help.

Use a lot of QuickSilver 2 stroke assembly grease to hold rollers in place and lots of patience. Basically use grease to glue rollers to the rod and carefully insert the pin. Do not use lithium or any other grease, you want specifically assembly grease for 2 stroke motors. Regular grease will gunk up the rollers and will prevent proper lubrication with fuel/oil when engine is operating causing wear and premature failures.

Thank you for the suggestion. How do you carefully put the pin in when it is a tight fit into the piston and then even tighter into the spacers?

...I have tried freezing the pin to shrink it a bit and that helps, but it still seems to need the hydraulic press to go in and then it is tough to keep the needle bearings in place...

You need a hydraulic press to get the pin in. You also need a special tool to prevent the spacers from binding against the needle bearings once you press the pin in. Without the spacer tool, you mau not be able to install the pin properly. One alternative is to use a forged Wiesco piston which has floating pins ( push into place with your fingers) with special wire keepers to hold the pin in place in the piston.

When I did my rebuild, I used WISECO pistons which do not require any press or special tools. Sorry, I did not realize you have another piston brand.
