You can't chrome aluminum as far as I know.<br />We've plated it before so we can solder to it, but it can be a spendy process.<br /><br />Anodizing is the way to go.<br /><br />Are you going to be in salt water? Bare aluminum can get eaten alive by salt over a period of time. I've seen some of our antennas do that even with anodizing.<br /><br />What we do to protect it from those environments is to anodize it and THEN powder coat it. They seem to stand up fairly well after that.<br /><br />Hunt around. You may have to ship your peices somewhere if you really want them anodized or powdercoated. The internet should have some places you can ship to. I bet you can find some in Texas somewhere.<br /><br />I suppose you could just break out a can of paint, but I don't know what kind of finish you're wanting.<br /><br />H.
