Am probably gunna buy a 14 Hobie off a buddy. We have no idea what a "fair" price for it is. No trailer, probably a 5 or 6 on scale of 10. Trampoline ripp'd (my fault due to old age of material but I did the damage). Most ropes could be replaced, blah, blah, Any thoughts on what one should go for? Oh, early to maybe mid 1980.... ???

Re: Hobie 14....

check ebay and boattrader.com for similar boats and check their price accordingly....a couple hundred bucks should be fair...

P.V.
Dont forget to check for cracks on the hulls. Older Hobies will usually show stress cracks which let water inside. If the boat is 5-6, then chances are it was not properly maintained throughout its life.

Just thought I'd mention....

Nav
