I was there once 30 years ago, then for a family cookout a few years ago.<br /><br />But I have never actually fished it.<br />I hope to fish it this year with my brother in law. I just bought a Fishing Hot Spots map at Fleet farm. I don't know why I buy these things. I do better just looking at the water and saying "lets try over there."<br /><br />But why wait for the opener? The WI river is always open, for most species. I've only made it out twice so far, to the WI near Wausau. Then once to Fremont ten days ago.

thanks for the responce somehow i got marshfield and medford mixxed up ya i bought the sportsman connetion book it's great for finding new lakes but i never seem to remember to take it with me the thing that makes me sad is the people down south will never know how great a fleet farm is

Yeah, Fleet & Farm, Farm & Fleet, both are great. THEE Man's Mall.<br /><br />Farm & Fleet in Eau Claire.<br />Fleet & Farm in Marshfield.<br />The best is the Fleet & Farm on Hwy 41 and Hwy Q, just NW of Milwaukee. It is huge. Sporting goods department is the size of a grocery store!!!<br /><br />The guys down south have places like Tractor Supply, and others. The ones that are missing out are the people that live in large cities.<br /><br />I was in 2 stores last week and took a look at thier fishing sections. Target, none at all. Shopco, a 5 foot section of snoopy rod combos. I guess that says how good of a job Fleet Farm is doing.

the one here has a huge sporting goods dept and a ton of boat stuff and lumber i know the one in madison is all housewares it's got cityized well gotta go pick up new truck
