help with motor trim

I have four solenoids on the side of the engine and when I try to adjust the motor trim they click. Any suggestions or tests or advice would appreciated. 1974 Starcraft Islander 22' in line GMC 6 cyl (OMC) Thank you in advance.

I'd ask in the OMC forum - you'll have many more people there to help you w/ your problem.

Second, if they click, they're doing something. Short across the 2 big terminals of a solenoid with a screwdriver to bypass the solenoid and see if anything happens.
