I have two new 225 4-strokes that seem to be cutting out at high RPM's 4500 to 5500. Both engines are cutting out at separtate times for just a split second or so. It drops to 2500 to 3000 and then right back up. It sounds like they are starved for fuel. I checked the water separarters and no water present. Any ideas??? Someone told me that Yamaha put low pressure fuel pumps on these moters and that it can't keep up with the demand of the two 225's. Has anyone had a simular problem? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.
