My husband has gone crazy! Last year we bought a 1974 17' Glastron V 179 as a restoration project for me. I love to restore old things and this was too good a deal to pass up. It is a tri-hull with a 115 hp Johnson. The hull is in almost mint condition; just needs a little TLC. The inside, however, is another story. It needs a new floor, dash, steering wheel, etc. Basically, lots of work, which I don't mind. I was looking for tips on restoring the interior of old boats. I want to keep it as authenic as possible. I am looking for pictures of old Glastron that might help, but don't know where to start! I am new to this, but I am willing to work my tail off learning how to do it right. I just need a little guidence. And I am not too proud to ask for help, as ya'll can see!

As for the 2nd boat, he bought it today for our anniversary, so he says. Its a 1986 19' WELLCRAFT , 165 hp Mercruiser I/O motor. It's another project, but not as much of one as the other. Is there anywhere to get a manual on these motors? The man sold it because he knew nothing about mechanics and thought it would take alot of money to fix. It just seems to need a new water pump and the starter rebuilt. Both of which my husband can fix. But with a manual, he can go over the motor really good and check it all out.
We are both new to this, its something we would really like to learn more about, but need a little advice and information before we jump in... or at least jump in more than we already have.
Thanks for taking the time to read this rambling request ..
I look forward to any tips ya'll are kind enough to post or send...
Kriss and Shaun
Rayville,La
