Headroom

Earlier boats were sail-n-sleep with no standing room and often no sitting room either. Even modern fast sailing yachts have limited headroom to minimize water and air drag. <br />Is this popular with all generations or are modern sailing boats going to be floating storey houses like the motorized ones? Are the sails going to be like the pendulums on quartz clocks purely decorative? Just worried.

There are all sorts of sailing boats out there.<br />A lot of the mass produced ones are good value for money with more of a focus on accomodations, whereas custom boats and small production runs can be more focused on a specific niche.(racer, voyager,traditional, etc).<br /><br />On an ocean passage you would need different things from those you might have on a weekender.
