I just bought some ignition coils from them the other day. They are a good company, always the cheapest for things I'm looking for, and they have a wide variety of shipping choices and prices. good luck

I just looked at their site and they are selling a lot of Serria parts under their name . They even dropped the 18 in front of part number and added TM to it. I do have to say they are beating iBoats pricing and mine also as they are only selling 10-18% over cost(I looked up some prices)...The Serria parts will be good but the power packs are blems from the way they are posted.

Re: has anyone ever heard of tungsten marine parts

This is an old thread, but there is an ad on the New Orleans Craigslist today, that claims Tungsten Marine ripped someone off. Supposedly, TM sent the wrong part to the guy, asked him to ship it back for refund, but never refunded the money.

One interesting thing is that the person who made this post, purchased the item in December of '09 - a short time after the OP opned this thread. That makes me wonder if he is the same guy. I don't know where he is, but TM is located in Kenner, LA, a short distance from New Orleans. I guess that is why he chose to make his Craigslist post in the New Orleans section.

I bought a merc switchbox from tungsten marine..they were great.I got a call from them after i placed my order apoligizing for a delay in shipping out my part which they remedied by sending it 3 day instead of ground shipping. The switch box i got is not a sierra ,mallory or cdi.I was told thay they build it themselves. It works perfectly and was much cheaper. The only flaw i could find was that the terminals have no plastic lip covering the aluminum case so to make sure my wire terminals didn't short out against the case i had to spin them to the inside. It looks to me like its more robust than the sierra it replaced.I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them.

This post might just be an advert from Tungsten so people will check them out.

LOL TwoPunches -- I know the guys there... I've purchased a bunch from them and they're not that tacky to try to advertise that way.

And, just to defend them a little -- that craig's list post left out a whole lot of facts and was flagged for removal. They're not perfect, but they've made it right every single time for me.
