If you need to travel from inland to an island located 10 miles away during awful foggy days passing in straight line through 2 buoys in midle route, how many meters passing side of buoy would you need to mark safely your waypoint. You don't want to smash the boat against any buoy if marked too close. Experience & comments are welcome.
