got a problem , took boat out today , running a 1975 70 horse johnson , problem is this , when moter is running fully opened , tilt and trim does not work , when i stop , it works great , anyone got any ideals ?

By stop do you mean neutral with engine running or neutral with engine off? Does the drive tilt while at no wake speed, does the trim pump make any noise, does it work with key off, sorry but more info may help figure it out.

works with moter turned off , works with moter on in neutral , it is wired seperate from moter , that is why i dont understand why it will not work with moter wide open !

Is the fluid level good? The motor could be bad and with the force of the boat moving the trim cannot overcome the force.
