Glastron mx 185

I just bought a glastron mx 185 with a 3.0l mercruiser tks (carburetor) I hooked up ear mufflers and turned on the water hose and it fired up, I then shut engine off 1 or 2 minutes later after running and tried to restart it but it would turn over at all... it didnt even try to turn over there was nothing at all. I waited about one hour before trying again and it started. I did the same process a few hours later and it did the same thing, it started and then wouldn't after shutting it off and trying again.... thanks for all the help in advance

When it doesn't crank/turn over, and when you turn the key to ON, do the gauges turn ON (fuel, trim, other)?

Yes, it all works... but I found the problem , the battery came with wing nuts to hold the cables and hey vibrated loose... I replaced with lock nuts and she fires up everytime, thanks for reply
