I have a 28 ft Aquasport Explorer that has a gas Kohler Genset. I have heard that a common problem is that water will get into the compartment and distroying the genny. I have started using a rubber mat to cover the hatches which has worked great. My 1st question is will the mat cut down on air flow to the generator and cause overheating? 2. Is there a way to flush the saltwater out of the gen. I thought about using a "Fake a Lake" set up to flush the exhaust system. Any ideas? 3. I forgot and left the generator on while running to our next dive location (10 minutes). Is it ok to do that? Thanks for any help you can give. John
