Gen 2 water and oil hose

Gen 2. What outdrive water and oil hose can I buy at the auto place so I don't need to buy a kit. It's a hose, It's underwater but I cant imagine I need OEM. I thought I read the oil hose is a non permeable fuel/oil hose sold by the foot but not sure. What sizes. Thanks

For the gear oil hose you need one rated for oil. Here are some options and what I believe is OEM:

Parker PUSH-ON B704 or Dayco Eastman B704 1/4" ID 300 psi

Parker PUSH-ON B704 1/4in ID. Part number: 32-8M0040618

Will need a foot of the gear oil hose and trim down to around 10”.

For the water hose I would 100% spend the money on a molded hose.

this is where you are wrong. buy the OEM molded hose.

The OEM hose for the water is 3/4 ID so in theory you can use heater hose but the oem hose is like $20, juice may not be worth the squeeze - #15 below

agree, pre molded is the best way to go, I leave the oil hose a bit longer to help prevent breaking the PLASTIC transfer fitting
