gear shift removal

im pretty boat savvy when it comes to repairs!
but this one has me stumped!
i need to remove this handle to repair the power trim button, there is a slot at the bottom and usually there is a hex screw on other handles to remove the handle, but i cannot see or feel one on this handle.
any ideas?

First you remove bottom in center of handle " The throttle only button"
Then remove throttle control with a socket
after that you pry the cover shield off " the one that says quicksilver 3000"
The screws for removing will be behind that cover !!!

ya gotta disengage tha shifter first BEFORE ya pry tha button off...

Mine did not need to be disengaged to remove button !! it just popped right off ... Maybe it was a fluke
