gauges quit working

I have a 1984 OMC Seadrive 1.6 liter. Gauges on my 85 Seasprite quit working after I had a hard time starting it one day. Tach, trim, and voltage gauges do not read correctly, the voltage gauge barely moves, the trim is in the fully bow down position and the tach is intermitten.

To Dolfan,sounds like a ground problem if your batts are fully charged.How do you like the seadrive?I have a 2.6 seadrive on a 24 seawind the rig is 1986.

I suspected a ground problem, but where, could the voltage reg be the problem? I like it. I haven't had the boat that long, but I've heard allot of good things about the seadrive units.<br /><br />------------------
