gas primer bulb location

quick question, I am in the middle of my rebuild, and have re-located the gas tank to the front of the boat. the boat is a 16' aluminum fishing boat (1981 blue fin lil piker), the outboard is a 25 horse merc of the same year. since I have moved the tank to balance the boat out a bit, where should I be placing the in-line primer bulb in the new longer fuel line?

closer to the outboard, or closer to the tank? in the middle?

Physically it probably does not matter. Logically, I'd still place it close to the outboard, just so that your fishin' buddy knows where to look when you tell him to squeeze the bulb.
