Last info I heard was that the Niece owned it. It's just rumor though. " 60 minutes" did a show about Mr. Gardiner and the island a few years ago. I missed the program but heard it was quite interesting. I say, the hell with the beaches, let me do some deer hunting on the island. I hope the island goes to the state or something is written that it can't be developed. It would be a shame to see such a pretty island with houses on it.
