I have a 17? tinny (Klamath Bay runner) I am reworking/placing the floor.

I have found a moller 19 gal tank on CL. It is 10?x 10? X 46?. If I install this tank it will be located forward, at the bow line (@ where boat rides in the water ) running from starboard to port.

My question is ?any guesses as to how this may impact the handling, cornering? . I have a 50HP Suzuki & most of my time is spent on lakes and rivers. I don?t need 19gals of fuel, but the price is right.

I would love to find a 12gal square tank, it would be a better fit. I flinch at the price of new one?.

Hope I got this right. The tank is running perpindicular the long axis of the boat. If there are no baffles the fuel will slosh back and fourth and you might notice it rocking the boat when the tank is less than full. I suggest mounting it under the deck as forward as possible parallel the keel.

You picked up on my concerns. I do not have the parallel option. I have not seen the tank, however on thier site Moller does not mention baffles....

I don't think you'll notice any "surge" with a tank that small,..

My concern would be that mounting it to far forward will make your hole shot worse and make it harder to plane out the boat,......
