fuel tank help!!

trhanks to everyone here for all you advice on my boat...i have yet another question...I have a wellcraft v20 with a built in fuel tank. I have been told that the tank is no good anymore..i want to put portable tanks topside for the outboard..could i put one just inside the cabin where there is a stepdown with a plywood cover..and maybe a small one in the stern..has anyone ever kept a tank toward the front of the boat vs two in the stern..tks

Its probably not a good idea to put fuel in a cabin, especially if theres little air circulation and people will be sharing that space.

How difficult would it be to remove the tank? Moeller makes tanks of many sizes and shapes for replacements.

Yeah, thats a lot of help

I'd sure look into replacing the original if at all possible (also get a 2nd opinion on the "I have been told that the tank is no good anymore")
The tank in the cabin area is not a good idea

And how did you verify for yourself that there is a problem with the tank?
