fuel mixture

I have a merc 650 65hp and it was taking longer to come up to speed and pain. If there was to much oil mixed in the gas would it run doggy or just smoke more? I did notice a little smoke trail behind me at wot.

Normally, if the motor is in good shape and tuned properly extra oil won't bother it. However, if it is not tuned properly or in bad shape, the oil could affect it.

Why not mix some fresh 50::1 fuel and pull and clean the plugs. If it doesn't get better, you need to go thru the link and sync, and chack compression.
