what size fuel line should be on a 2002 2.6liter
200 hpdi? changed my primer bulb and was surprised to find 5/16 fuel line? i assumed 3/8 would be the norm.

Yes, it should be 3/8....but boats are rigged by manufacturer, not Yamaha...who built your boat? And you need to replace the line from tank to engine, complete. If you starve this motor for fuel, it'll die.

xpress bassboat. had 5/16 all the way through.
i had installed a moeller fuel water seperator and since
then the primer bulb would not stay primed. the filter
had 3/8 fittings so maybe this is why im having
troubles?

I would certainly change it all out and you MUST use a 10 micron filter, either Yamaha or a couple of others.....should be at least 50 gal/hr rated, 90(yamaha) is better.....you could put a vacuum gauge in front of engines filter with a 't' fitting in fuel line to see what vac. is on line...if over 2 1/2 @ idle or 4 1/2-5 @ wide open you have a problem...and I would be surprised if you don't....
