Hey all, So heres the background..after starting my boat up this season i noticed there was some fuel in the water around the stern of the boat, i didnt think much of it seeing as though i had just fueled up and perhaps some was left on the boat or swim platform. i cruised for a while and while idling i again noticed fuel in the water around the boat, not an exorbitant amount but enough to notice. I immediately returned to dock and trailered the boat home. After hooking it to the muffs i could see it was coming from the water after it cycled through the engine for cooling. The oil looks good (no water) and it runs great, maybe a little rough on the idle but other than that it picks up and cruises fine. My first though is the floats are sticking and letting too much fuel into the engine but that's just a guess. Any suggestions before i tear that carb down?

Can you elaborate as in how do you know it's gas? Colors in water? Or is it oil?

Could you have a ruptured power valve? Holleys are famous for that. Look down the venturis while it is idling. If the power valve is ruptured, the venturi bores will be noticeably wet.

If there is a carb problem then the spark plugs will tell you all about it, take a look.
