friend of mine had a bit of trouble with wind

they were towing down to Kentucky lake and had pulled over due to high winds. The high winds pulled the boat off the trailer and this is the result. these are well experienced sailors who have towed this trip often.

is that a truck flipped over across the street on the second pic? Sorry for his loss... Was the boat strapped down tight? I would have though the trailer would have gone with the boat.

Sorry to hear of your friends mishap. hope no one was hurt.

They should look into the how and the why and let us know how not to do that.

Perhaps their misfortune could save a fellow mariner a headache.

yeah, look at the sky in the first pic, and the semi trailer on it's side in the second pic...weather has no mercy, I know from experience growing up in southern Louisiana. Sorry to see such a loss.
