This might be very basic but what is an " L " drive

An ill concieved attempt to turn an outboard engine into an inboard with an outdrive. 2-3yrs production. Now known to suck the unwary into a deep hole of regret.

2 cycle outboard powerhead, mounted inside the boat.
exits thru the hull vertically, then into an ill conceived drive unit.

They were a BAD decision from US Marine.
RUN AWAY as fast as you can.
The motor's a basic 85/90 or 120/125 Force.
The lower was a basic lower unit attached with a bad mounting system.
Did I say RUN???
The parts are getting harder to find and no one wants to work on them.
