floppy trim gauge hand

anybody ever have some trouble with trim gauge hand a little unstable. I'm about to go test on the water, if anybody has any suggestions, they are very much welcome!

Hi, Kev. Most trim guages work exactly like fuel guages, except they follow a variable resistor mounted on the engine pivot point rather than one at the pivot point of a float in the tank.<br /><br />If the guage bounces around it is probably because the resistor (potentiometer in electronic terms) is failing to maintain good contact between the sliding part and the stator part. . . OR. . .there is a loose connection in the wiring. A shot of contact cleaner spray (Radio Shack) into the T&T sender might help.<br /><br />Good luck.<br /><br />Red sky at night. . . <br />JB :)
