Re: fish finder

Howdy, SnowB. Like JohnKC says, Eagle is a value leader. It is for fresh water, fairly shallow (under 100').

The value leader among Eagles is the FishEasy 2.

For a few more bux you can go for a Lowrance X91...Higher resolution, more power.

Red sky at night.. .
JB :)

My Eagle which has side scan also is 5 years old and still works as advertised. I just wish they had a finder that would tell you if the fish are hungry or not.

Re: fish finder

I fish off NJ shore on a lot of wrecks, seabass, fluke, etc.I own a Raymarine, My friend which I alternate fishing with has a Si-tex, both show a great bottom structure picture, the Ray shows a fish icon with the depth they are located in real time, and size. We both like our own the best, and if we go out with both boats, we usally score equal. We fish at depths from 40' to 100'+.Go to a good marine store & talk to the sales rep. most are boat owners & fish, they might help you make a decision. In my opinion "Cheap" is not best.Go for quality. The lastest state of the art, changes every 6 months.
