First trip to the ozarks

I just booked my first trip to the lake of the ozarks for Memorial Day weekend. We will be staying at southwood shores condo. It's pretty close to the four seasons resort. Does anyone know how far of a boat ride it will be from our dock to party cove?

four seasons is at the 12mm and the turn off the main channel is about the 19mm. then party cove is at the 4mm of that cove. So about about 11 miles or so. The first mile of the cove will be no wake over the weekend. Then you will want to keep right and not pass the buoys they have in the middle of the lake keep to the right or water patrol will get you

Agreed with everything above. Saturday headed to the cove will be an absolute zoo, if this is your first trip there get ready for an extremely choppy ride to it. I know four seasons well but not where you are staying, if your slip is facing the main channel make sure the boat is tied off on all four lines, don't let the boat get too close to the side, because it WILL be rocking. (Common sence I know but I still see Boats get scrached and worse from hitting the docks) The waves on weekend can be very rough. Enjoy the party, it's all worth it! By far best lake I have ever been to

It's been 2 seasons since I've been to the Ozarks sadly, my buddy told me they moved party cove for a short time and now it's back at the state park by lazy days.... Any truth to this??

Back in the day party cove wasnt in the state park it was off the main channel. Moved it to state park so water patrol could keep better tabs on it.

yep I started going there mid 80's last time probably 2000 and in that time seemed like they moved it a few times.
