Well made it out for the first day of the season and it was great. We have been wanting to get out on the water but life just kept getting in the way. I'm not sure but I may have passed by The Rooster out on the Tickfaw river too. Only problem I seemed to have was while in dead slow areas the motor rpms were jumping around about 200 rpms. From around 1000 to 1200 rpms, this concerns me cause when I had it serviced in Feburary the shop said they found a broken plug wire. Well before the service the motor ran great, they did find a missing seal and water in the gear case and replaced the gear case. Now first thing in the morning to the shop with it and hope like crazy they are not too busy.

Best of luck...annoying when you try to set everything up ahead of time just to find another issue.

This is the mega busy time of the year for shops, hopefully they can squeeze you in, or see if you can get the mechanic to fix it off the clock on his own time and pay him cash.

Hey Rob, if thats Boat City in Hammond, David Gagliano is the head mechanic. Great guy. Hope they resolve the issue quickly. By the way, I'd stay away from that "Rooster" dude. I hear he's a jerk !!!

Well the guys at Boat City in Hammond (Dave) took great care of me today. Found another bad plug wire, this time on the number 3 cyclinder. Last time it was on number 1. Mercury must have gotten a bad batch from their supplier, although nothing has shown up in tech bulletins. Either way just glad it got fixed fast and plan to be on the water tomorrow. And thanks to that Rooster Dude for a heads up for a Summer Lake Bash coming up on the local waters ;)
