Favorite Pre-Spawn Bass bait or lure

Thought i would start a thread. i love prespawn. Interested in what others use in their part of the world? Mine is the bottom stuff. rubberworm, black.

Me too!<br />My favorite is usually a jerk bait, I think its the 6" rogue with an orange belly I use. Smallmouth fishing is the best here in late march early april with it. They SLAM'em if you twitch it right!<br />As far as largemouth, I throw the Jig and Pig and Tube baits most of the time. I tend to stick with those 2 because of the better quality fish, but sometimes a big crankbait in the shallows can find them too. I saw a 6.5 (big for MA) weighed in caught on a crankbait in 1.5' to 2' of water last week.

Cut bait. Usually some form of green gamefish with a big mouth. Sometimes I use live but mostly cut. BBWWWHHHAAAAAA I love doing that to you Bass fishermen. Actually I use plastics more often than not bass fishing. A close second would be a spinnerbait. I usually let the mood of the fish determine which I use.

Small live bream rite over their bed...drives them absolutely insane. They strike at them because they eat thier eggs. The bass hit them and carry them off then spit them out mangled.

FlyBoy, the bass in this area ,are on their beds now.The pond i fish has bream in it.i will be trying this tech.out.Thanks, i will try anything twice. Buffalo '66
