i have been told by a number of people that my shetland535 is under powered by a 30hp and someone said resolve the problem by putting another of the same size on i found a 25hp on line is possible todo this ?ps my wife thinks it wouldnt make any difference

you'll need another identical engine to your 30hp -same make,model and shaft length-then buy 2 new props with a longer (but identical) pitch. Go to an outboard dealers and ask about it. The ones round your way are quite helpful. Your wife is wrong, it'll make a big difference. I doubt it'll be as fast as if you put a 60hp on your boat because 2x30hp will be heavier but if one engine goes down you'll still be able to get home fairly quick.
