Extending the life of primer bulbs and fuel hoses?

Is there any way to make our very expensive fuel hoses and primer bulbs last longer? Maybe treat them with Armorall or some other sort of UV protectant? I squeezed the bulb on my little 9.5 last night and it sprayed gas all over my hand, and that bulb isn’t but a couple of years old.

Gee, they last 15 years here on the Jersey shore. They are in full sun during the summer.

Agreed on OEM it’s worth the extra dough in the long haul.

Not an area I would want to stretch the life expectancy on a fuel line...to big of a safety hazard !! Fires and boats do not go well together.....look at all the money, time and effort we put into our boats, why would anyone want to skimp on a 50 dollar fuel line and increase the chance of a serious hazard !! I can think of many other places to trim 50 bucks if money is that critical......

OEM is $65-to-over $100 now. That's eBay. Scares me to imagine what they ask at a marina.
Lots of ppl are looking for places to save a buck these days.

Mine last longer than that, but they are in a covered boat that is also garage kept.

$100 is money well spent to get OEM. If longevity is a problem, maybe the storage conditions should be reviewed.
