I'm in the market to buy a new Pontoon with a 90 hp Merc 4-stroke, what opinions do you have about the engine and it's perf/reliability.

This is what I've heard about 4 strokes <br />some of the early ones were running the wrong temperature thermstat in them from the factory .<br />which would cause a problem not alowing the rings to seat in and fuel would wash by and begin to cause the oil level to rise and slowly dilute the crankcase oil.end result was a bearing and ring problem.<br /><br />They have since corrected this<br />Rich
