evinrude zincs/sacrificial annodes

going to raise my 225 hp 1986 v6 2 stroke up one hole (power trim/tilt)..under the outboard motor transom bracket are two vertical rectangular bars against the transom...are they zincs??? and if so how do they attach and do i remove them before i go up one hole..thanks

It is a zinc or sacrificial anode. See item 99. One bolt per up thru the bottom.
