Hi, I have a 1979 100 hp evnrude that spat a connecting rod cap out the side of the case. i found a similar vintage engine for about 450, has compression but doesnt come up to speed. both rebuilt powerheads and used good running engnies seem to be 2k. any advice on buying this engine and going through, combining parts from both (assumming serial numbers are the same) or other course of action?
