Evinrude Fleetwin Aquasonic Question

I had asked 2 questions the other day...one was answered and one was not:<br /><br />I inadvertantly moved the knob/adjustment that is on the opposite side of the gear shifter...it is near the fuel plug in...what is this knob and what does moving it affect? I have not had the motor in the water since I moved it, and the next time I use the motor will be on vacation...I want to make sure it will work OK.<br /><br />Thanks for any help anyone can lend.

You may need to address this issue in a more appropriate forum as I believe the motor you are talking a bout is 50 years or more old. <br />
