Evinrude 8hp

Hello, this is my first post and I hope I am in the right forum. I bought a 01 Evinrude 8 hp today brand new off the showroom floor. Could someone please tell me if they have had any problems with performance, warranty. All feedback appreciated as I did not know Evinrude no longer made small outboards. Thanks

Hi tanzer and welcome to the forum..<br /><br />You should not have any problems with warranty coverage. Bombardier will honor it. You should have no problems with performance either. Be sure to follow the owners manual instructions and enjoy the engine and water.<br /><br />PS...I'm a Johnson/Evinrude dealer.

Thank you outboard Jim<br />What will it be like to get parts in the future, are Johnson parts compatible. I had a 76 Honda 9.9 and parts were impossible.

Parts for your 8hp will not be a problem for lots of years to come. Enjoy!
