Engine Type

My engine serial # is 0M327459 and I am trying to figure out what type of motor i have. I have found a site that told me that it was a 5.0 L MPI. But it has what looks like a carburetor on it and it is confusing me.

It may have been converted, post a picture.

MPI is Mutli-Port Injection, while TBI is Throttle Body INjection ( looks like a carb ).

Your engine came with a standard carburetor from new.

Your engine is a 2002 MERCRUISER 5.0L ALPHA, Carburetor, With a alpha sterndrive. Hope this helped you out.
