I have a 1994 Bayliner 2252 classic with a 4.3 engine and alpha one gen 2 outdrive,I want to change to a 5.7 that I already have. What I would like to know is there any unforeseen circumstances I should be aware of?

Unknown .. that's why they are called 'unforeseen'.....

What you will have to change is the exhaust elbows just above the y-pipe (not the manilfold elbows, the short, almost 90 degree tubes), and possibly gear ratio in the drive. Also the side engine mounts are too far back for the 350, you'll need new ones glassed in.

You should also let us know what year each engine is.... Some are more compatible than others...

Ayuh,..... More than likely you'll need a different drive gear ratio,.......

I’ve had the motor in and everything seem to fit up pretty good. My only concern is the drive coupler on the v6 had a horn on it ( much longer) than the one on the v8 ,I’m not sure if I should be concerned about that or not

Ayuh,...... That tube helps hold the grease in the coupler from gettin' away,......

So long as yer gettin' the full 2" of spline engagement, 'n everything clears whatever's around it,.....

It'll work,....
