Easier time putting on the trailer

Currently I load my Blackfin 212CC on the trailer almost always by myself as my girlfriend is not comfortable with assisting or directing me too much. I also have a small issue of sometimes missing the winch post depending on winds and current. I also have to climb out the front of the boat onto the truck in order to be able to attach the winch strap since my girlfriend can't go in the water without skin issues (launch water is nasty and sensitive skin). I am looking to see if there is anything I could do to resolve this issue? Ideally something with the ability to make it auto lock on the bow eye without me needing to get out onto the truck. I have slipped and fallen twice and really don't like it.

And post a video of you loading the boat yourself. Kinda wanna see the slip/fall

Learn how to power load your boat, don't put the trailer in as far as you think you should. If the fenders are under water you're in too far

I don't think I have a real solution for you. I, too, launch and recover almost always solo. I have to get the boat "close" up on the trailer, then climb over the front onto the tongue of the trailer so I can hook the winch strap.

Almost always, I'm going to go "feet wet" during the recovery operation.

In warm weather, I keep a pair of water shoes in the boat bag and change into those from my regular shoes so I can step into the water at the ramp.

In cold weather, I'll put on a cheap set of waders to recover the boat.

I'm going to be reconfiguring the trailer (make it longer) for better performance. The trailer that came with the boat when I bought it several years ago is really too short by 24". Once I do that, hopefully this winter season, my launch and recovery will become easier.

I'd say your in too far with the trailer if you miss the winch post.
yep, learn to power load....
I have a yellow stripe I painted on my trailer where the water touches it which I determined after loading a few times. Definitely helps .
Most people have, and I plan to add, the round pvc pipes used as a loading guide. You could mark them also.
My boat is a 24' pontoon.

I have a bunk trailer and an 18’ boat.

I have a spare trailer tire mounted on each side, 1” from the hull, about 5’ from the bow. And 4’ guide bunks at the stern. So if a really bad situation happens, the boat will still be centered well enough to attach the winch strap and get out.

Incidentally, the hull has never hit the tires, and it won’t, unless I back in a foot too far, or some nasty waves are pounding the boat around.

To the OP. Don't back in too deep, the Bunks themselves so a great job of centering the boat. Those Guide things are more of a joke than anything else. I have seen many bent because the trailer was way too deep, and the boat was moving around because of Wind and/or Current.
