Re: Eagle
Stemar
Question I would have for you is how deep of Saltwater do you fish. The FishEasy2 is very low power for Saltwater. Just to give you something to compare to, I have a Lowrance X50 which has twice the power of the FishEasy2. X50 3000 watts Peak to Peak, FishEasy2 1500 Watts peak to peak.
My unit with a 20 degree transducer and sensitivy turned up as high as posible will only see Rockfish to 150 feet of Saltwater. I got a 8 degree transducer and that is good to see Rockfish down to about 350 feet. Deeper than that only see bottom. Remember my unit has twice the power so expect to see Rockfish only to about 75 feet in salt water. Also My unit a lower frequency of 192 khz instead of 200. For deep Saltwater really want a lot more power and a dual frequency unit. For deep Saltwater a 50khz unit works better. The new Dual frequency Lowrance units have 8000 watts 50 khz/ 4000 watts 200khz and a 12 degree tranducer. Lowrance and Eagle are the same company.
Lowrance says my unit good to 1000 feet but as sold really about 150 to see Saltwater Rockfish.
