Eagle FishEasy 2 or Garmin 160?

I asked this question in an earlier post, but got no replies so here it is again.<br /><br />Can anyone make a recommendation between these two fishfinders? The Eagle has a smaller screen size (~3" x 2.5"),lower power (1200 W) but better vertical resolution (240x160). The Garmin has lower resolution (160x160), but larger screen size (3.3" x 3.3")and more power (3200 W). Most of my fishing will be in the Chesapeake Bay.<br /><br />Also, I understand that Lowrance makes the Eagle models. What is the difference between the Lowrance X-51 and Fish Easy 2? The features look almost identical.

I haven't used a Garmin sonar, but I use their GPS. Garmin's Customer Service is superb.<br /><br />Lowrance/Eagle also has great Customer Service. I have use several Lowrance/Eagle sonars and been satisfied.<br /><br />Take your pick. I see no reason to favor one over the other.<br /><br />Good luck.

I have a Garmin 160 Blue that cost $200 and performs like a Fishfinder worth 10 times that. Garmin all the way.

I have two EAGLE fish finders. The TRI-FINDER and the FISH EASY. I like them both and wouldn't trade either one.The TRI-FINDER was on sale at BASS PRO........it might be the better deal.

I'm super pleased with my Garmin 240. Accurate vivid picture, included is speed and temp. You can get it $30 cheaper than I did 'cause Bass Pro has it on sale now for $269.

I just bought the eagle TRI-FINDER II I haven't had it in the water yet anyone got one what do ya think?

I have Eagle trifinder II that I've only used 3 times but really like all the great fetures espcially gray line but screen is really small.I got mine at Ebay new in box for $175 worth every penny.<br /> Enjoy!<br /> Mike

Thanks for the information. After looking into it all, I decided to up my price range and get the Garmin 240 on sale from Bass Pro (Thanks for the tip, Warhorse). It has additional power and the extra resolution with larger screen. Now I just need to wait for it to come off of backorder....
