dt 140 choke coil,silinoed valve

i have an 85 dt 140 i got it with a free boat , when i test started it with muffs on it actually started with some fresh gas,all though it would not start in auto chock mode ,i had to put it in manual, i checked the coil by putting power to it and it works,i can hear it open the valve ,my qwestion is what is it that tells the coil to be energized when the key is turned,is there a sencer that tells it that it is not up to operation temp?

Not sure about your Suzuki but most chokes operate by pushing in on the key
Switch while in the on or start position.

That is right with the Zuki's as well.

what would tell the coil to hold the valve open till it dose not need the choke to operate
