:confused:Hi guys. I want to decarb my outboard by adding seafoam to my gas tank. Should I use the 1 oz. per gal. or should I add more to shock it? would this cause any harm? Thanks. Also, If I put any into my cylinders, how much should I use and how long should I let it soak?

Is there a problem?
Before any maint or service you should do a compression test.
I like the Mercury Powertune.
It goes direct in the pistons and through the carbs.
Start the motor get it fully warmed up. Then spray into the carb.
Try to stall out the motor. When it stalls or gets close.
Shut it down and remove the plugs.
Then spray into the cylinders.Tilt the motor up as far as it can go.
Let it soak at least 24 hrs. 48 is better.
The Seafoam can be added to the tank.
It's good for an ongoing maint.

+1 on Jerry's method although you can also use Sea Foam in place of Powertune directly sprayed into the carbs. Personally, I do this on my driveway with muffs and revving the engine using the control tower. Just make sure you put oil pan to cover the pavement for the carbon really sticks. For my winter preps, I spray seafoam into the cylinder to protect them and soak them until spring.
